Good, don’t reproduce

A woman just had an abortion and sterilized herself to reduce her carbon footprint.

I hope that any woman who ever spends one fraction of one second worrying about her carbon footprint follows suit and sterilizes herself.  We can put up billboards publicizing this alternative to burning fossil fuels.

We’ll call this program “voluntary eugenics.”

Meanwhile, the thousands or millions of green-conscious women who choose not to reproduce will achieve only one thing.  Rather than indoctrinate the next generation to live a carbon-low lifestyle by raising them from day one not to burn anything ever, they’ll cede the next generation entirely to women who couldn’t care less about carbon footprints and will buy their children SUVs on their 16th birthdays because they’re safer than 50hp 2-seater smart cars and Vespas.

When you hear about cases like these, isn’t it necessary wonder how it’s possible to take environmentalists seriously when they can’t even think deeply enough to understand the obvious point that nearly every thinking individual concludes about the end result of sterilizing yourself to reduce carbon emissions?  I’m sure this woman is also a champion of science and evolution and scoffs at creationism but knows so little about it that she fails to understand that the only culture that survives is the culture that has the most babies.  And, by extension, that by sterlizing herself she is letting her own eco-friendly culture die in favor of women who don’t care.

If this woman can be so clueless, doesn’t it only further the suggestion that her entire cause is stupid?  If she can’t connect these two dots, then how likely do you think it is that her noble, scientifically proven cause is legitimate?

I find it so hysterical that people like this woman will denegrate dogmatic religions up and down yet are too shallow to see that they’ve merely replaced the reliigon of Jesus with the religion of Greenhouse Gasses, neither of which is any more legitimate than the other, except that at least the church of Jesus talks about ideas that are generally agreed to better humanity, such as turning the other cheek, doing ‘un to others, etc.  The only thing the church of Carbon Emissions offers is living in the dark, not using toilet paper, and driving crappy unsafe cars.  Not to mention preaching just as loud as any other religion ever has.

All she’s doing is replacing one religion with another one.  And all the while, even though she’s done nothing more than kill her traditional cultural religion in favor of a new one with priests with Ph.D. tacked on to their names, she’ll still talk about how backwards religion is at parties and on MySpace.com.  She will never admit that her addiction to a stupid cause like the Environment is just filling the religious void left by her conscious abandonment of the religion under which all that she has and all that she knows was built.

Human beings instinctively need religion, and if anything will convince you of that, cases like these should.
