Are the Hensel Twins allowed to get married?

The Hensel twins are a pair of conjoined twin girls who have two heads and one body.  They have one set of working lady parts.  From the perspective of the state, they are considered two people.  They have indpendent driver’s licenses, birth certificates, social security numbers, etc.

Suppose they want to get married.  Are they allowed to marry the same man, or two different men?

From a legal perspective it seems pretty clear that, if they wanted to marry a single man, only one of them would be allowed to be legally married to that man.  If they wanted to marry two different men, that would be pretty weird, huh?

According to the twins they intend on getting married and having children.  They did not disclose their thoughts on this issue.

I don’t have an answer for this question.  I just thought I’d bring it up since everybody likes to chime in on what should be legal when it comes to marriage lately.  Well, not lately.  All of that prop 8 nonsense has totally fallen off the radar since Obamacare is the cause celebre du jour.

Obviously, with one set of reproductive organs, the twins are one person for the purposes of marriage.

But marriage is about love, not about your genitalia. What about someone who has no genitalia or only one half of a set of genitalia? Are they not allowed to get married?

    Obviously I’m being facetious.

If they marry one man, won’t the man be guilty of polygamy for having two wives? It would seem too strange if they marry two men since they have only one set of reproductive organs.

Yes, it would be illegal for both of the twins to be married to the same man. And, since the twins have two separate legal identities, only one of them would enjoy all of the legal benefits of marriage. If one of them marries a man who then is seriously injured in an accident and is hospitalized, is the wife’s sister allowed to visit in the hospital? Since they’re quite literally joined at the hip, would the other twin need to wear ear plugs and a backwards ski mask while her sister visits her injured husband?

Here’s another question: whose name goes on the birth certificate as “mother” when the twins give birth out of their one set of reproductive organs?

The solution is pretty easy: they go to an islamic country and get married there. The teachings Allah gave to prophet Muhammed allow a man to legally marry up to four women, provided he is wealthy enough to maintain a separate household for each of them.

After the Hensel twins have both married to the same man, they can return to the USA and live there legally. There are muslim countires, like the UAE, the Jordan Hasemite Kingdom or Saudi Arabia which are friendly towards the USA and could be asked to provide this favour, especially since it would also allow them to advertise the islamic faith.

Would it be possible to surgically give them two lady parts ie divide one into two then at least then if the Girls get married to a man each it makes it a little less complicated?

I think tey can marry with 2 men.
According a magazine (or tabliod?) “In a rare feat for conjoined twins, the US-based Hensels have survived into adulthood inextricably entwined, at least in body. And yet even now, with unconfirmed reports that Brittany is set to marry while Abigail remains single, they have no desire to separate.”
